A Christmas Message!

About the event

We will NOT be meeting this December 25th to celebrate Christmas with our families.

A Christmas Message

At Christmas, we who are Christian, remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. He is our Lord, who came as a man to live a perfect life, sharing the love and compassion of God. He also came to die as the perfect sacrificial lamb, a sin offering, so that those who accept this gift of love are forgiven of all their sins.

The night He was born … there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep.    Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!”  Luke 2:8-11

The angels came in heavenly splendor and gave great praise. The lowly shepherds went to go see this marvelous thing and they praised God. Stars shone in heaven and guided wise men to the manger where Christ was born. They came with gifts to honor the newborn King. Gifts of song, tender hearts, bright light and presents… a beautiful celebration-all to honor God!!

Christmas is a great time to give praise and to honor God. What gifts do you have to offer, to show the world the light of Jesus Christ and His love? How can you honor God with your life? We the People of McHenry County are working to preserve values like integrity, honesty, and righteousness in our county. We value the family and join others to keep the light of love and freedom burning brightly.

We hope you join us in our work to preserve our freedoms and further righteousness in our land. May all the glory go to God.

Merry Christmas.

Happy Hannukah to our Jewish friends.

Happy holiday season to you all!
