About the event

I know that this is a Super Busy time of the year but...We Must Rise Up!

This was forwarded to me from Karen Tirio today, Thanks Karen!

Mike Buehler had invited us to attend at last Wednesday's meeting and her email below puts it into perspective.

Did you know that protecting the 2nd Amendment is important for all Americans, not just gun owners?

Have you seen the Iroquois County Resolution Opposing HB5855? https://bit.ly/IroquoisCountyResolution

Would you like to see this happen in McHenry County?

Eric Hendricks, newly elected and seated McHenry County Board Member of District 3, said this:

I always encourage people to come to the County Board meetings to let the Board know the issues that matter to them (whether this issue or any others). When you show up to let your elected officials know what matters to you, it tends to get their attention a bit more.”

Our state Government wants to restrict your right to defend yourself so they can control you.

WARNING:  Wherever the right of the people to keep and bear arms is prohibited under any color or pretext whatsoever, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction.

- St. George Tucker; Soldier, Educator, & Judicial Justice

One issue regarding HB5855, is the VERY short timeframe we are working with, so don’t wait to let your voice be heard. Make calls, send emails, and get as many people to attend this meeting as possible.

As a collective voice of McHenry County, let us clearly illustrate our desire and will to protect and uphold the Bill of Rights as laid out in the United States Constitution.  As citizens of the United States, we have the right to bear arms; it ‘SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED’ for us to remain secure and free.

Sign the petition to stand for your 2nd amendment rights between 6 and 6:45 before the meeting begins in front of the building.

The next McHenry County Board meeting is Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., 2nd Floor Conference Rooms, 667 Ware Rd., Woodstock, IL 60098.

Here are the people to share and voice your thoughts with BEFORE the meeting!  Then show up at the meeting!  Scroll down further to view an example of a resolution we hope to get passed here in McHenry County.

Thank you,

Karen Tirio

P.S. This was the last wish of our dearly departed friend & former McHenry County GOP Vice Chairman, and County Board member, Chuck Wheeler. He was in the process of working on this. Let's get this done in his honor and for our protection.
